Growing up in dysfunctional home I had to learn at an early age to become the strong person. I had to take on the parentified role while at the same time holding on to my own shame and legacy burdens from my ancestors I that suffered through institutional and systemic oppression. I could write a book on how intergenerational trauma ravaged itself throughout the generations of my family, which is why I am here to help you identify and recognize how your past might be the culprit towards living a

Unfortunately, Black students, in particular, are contending with emotions they may find difficult to articulate. Black students are fighting forces that were strategically established to maintain academic neutrality, while other students have significantly more opportunities to excel because they are exposed to the contributions of their ancestors – daily celebrating their history, culture, and existence throughout history textbooks and society at-large.
